Ingredients
  

  • 340 g rotini pasta
  • 450 g ground beef
  • 100 g pepperoni slices
  • 700 g pizza sauce or marinara
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 200 g shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 50 g grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • to taste fresh basil or parsley for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add onion and garlic; cook until soft.
  • Add ground beef, cook until browned.
  • Stir in pizza sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper; simmer.
  • Add rotini and enough liquid to cover; cook covered for 12 minutes.
  • Stir in pepperoni and half the mozzarella; top with remaining cheese and parmesan.
  • Garnish with basil or parsley and serve.

Notes

For extra flavor, add mushrooms or olives.
